Set a planning budget

Compare proposals

Check model numbers, capacity and matched ratings; permits and inspections; removal; duct, electrical, venting and drainage work; exclusions; parts and labor warranty terms; and who handles service. Higher efficiency does not guarantee a specific bill reduction or payback period.

Prepare for installation

Confirm equipment availability and the installation date before making arrangements. Ask about access, work areas, expected downtime, startup checks and cleanup. Planning ahead gives you time to compare options, but does not guarantee that equipment will never fail.
